Beverly Thielman

Beverly tells: “I started as a welder working in Aruba refinery, in the oil industry in 2007 and from there worked my way up (after many courses) to refinery inspector.”

Motives

“The reason my husband and I have decided to move to the Netherlands was due to the economic crisis in our industry.
Due to the shutdown of the refinery in 2012, afterwards all modernization projects for the refinery had been put on hold ever since. With no new news about reopening, we wanted to make new plans.
From Aruba my husband and I started to search for jobs in the Netherlands and we saw that there was enough work and opportunities in our industry. I mean my husband got a job right away in the Netherlands while we were still in Aruba.”

Position NDT Inspector and experience with Quality LinQ

“I saw an advertisement of Quality LinQ on Linkedin that they were looking for NDT inspectors. Since I have a lot of experience in this field, I applied immediately. The next day I got called and within 3 days I was in an interview for the job. Quality LinQ has been very quickly to respond to all my concerns and I was able to start right away.
I received a year contract with Quality linQ to work for MME group and after a year working for Quality linQ, I received another year contract with MME group which was promised from the beginning at my first interview. They also offered me courses to be certified in the Netherlands and I could complete all the courses that I wanted within the company hours.

Having a job in the Netherlands makes everything, much more easier and in that sentence, I mean, it was much faster in getting an apartment when they hear that both me and my husband have jobs then only my husband have a job. Less than a year in the Netherlands and we got already a loan approval to build a new house.”
